Hello Jeannie,

At the beginning of the VPAT, they mention their “evaluation methods used”. However, they didn't share what assistive technology they used in their testing.

Another thing I see is there is not a lot of “remarks and explanations” which can be very helpful as we investigate their product for accessibility issues and barriers.

If this was a product I was looking into, I would want a meeting with them. I would explain to them that their VPAT is very minimal and therefore I don't have a clear idea of how accessible the product is. Side note: I never use a VPAT to make my decision, but it can give us some very valuable clues.

I would want them to give me a demo using assistive technology on as many products that time allows. This suite has a number of products within their package, and I would like more details for each one of those to feel a lot more comfortable before I move forward. Plus, the page you linked to is AI powered services. I would want to make sure I knew how this AI works with assistive technology.

I noticed on their LibKey Nomad that you can download a PDF. I would want to make sure that any content that was downloadable is also accessible. It would defeat the purpose for accessibility if the output content were not accessible.

I hope you find this helpful.

Greetings, CATO,

WACTCLC<https://libguides.bigbend.edu/WACTCLC>, a consortium of Washington CTC libraries, is looking at establishing a contract with LibKey (for a package inclusive of the full LibKey Suite<https://thirdiron.com/#products>: BrowZine Web Only, LibKey Discovery, LibKey Link, LibKey Nomad, LibKey.io. Their VPAT is linked below, and I'm wondering if anyone with greater VPAT knowledge than mine would be willing to peruse it and alert me to any major red flags?

Thank you,
