<p class="MsoNormal">Dear State Board members, chancellors, and presidents,</p>
<p>In the winter of 2024, Washington’s community and technical colleges saw an 11 percent increase in enrollment, totaling 133,118 full-time equivalent students (FTES). This included an 8 percent rise in state-funded enrollments (88,550 FTES), a 20 percent
increase in contract-funded enrollments (42,951 FTES), and 4% growth in self-funded enrollments (1,617 FTES) compared with winter 2023.</p>
<p>Enrollments increased across most monitored programs:</p>
<ul type="disc">
<li class="MsoNormal" style="">Applied Baccalaureate: up 7 percent (+317 FTES)</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="">Basic Education for Adults: up 9 percent (+1,156 FTES)</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="">Basic Food, Employment and Training (BFET): up 17 percent (+3,255 FTES)</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="">Corrections: up 9 percent (+169 FTES)</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="">eLearning: up 9 percent (+7,761 FTES)</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="">I-BEST: up 23 percent (+560 FTES)</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="">International: up 6 percent (+315 FTES)</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="">International Contract: up 11 percent (+435 FTES)</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="">Running Start: up 18 percent (+3,836 FTES)</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="">WorkFirst: up 1 percent (+15 FTES)</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="">Worker Retraining: up 19 percent (+769 FTES)</li></ul>
