<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">In spring 2018, colleges enrolled 148,783 full-time equivalent students (FTES) from all fund sources, down 2 percent (-2,696 FTES) from spring 2017. Total enrollment for the 2017-18 school year included 174,300 FTES from all fund sources,
down 1 percent (-2,238 FTES) from 2016-17.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Spring quarter enrollments were lower than projected, ending the 2017-18 school year with 128,207 state-supported FTES for adults and 21,992 FTES for Running Start for a total of 150,199 state supported FTES (down by less than 1 percent,
-798 FTES, from the 2016-17 school year). Note: the state-supported FTES for adults count still includes estimates for University Contract enrollments and there will be a small change to these enrollment numbers when updated with the final University Contract
enrollments.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Colleges enrolled 41,549 contract-funded FTES in 2017-18, up 2 percent (832 FTES) from 2016-17. The increase in contract-funded FTES is primarily due to an increase in Running Start FTES (up 9 percent, 1,786 FTES), counteracted by a drop
in the number of international contract enrollments (down 4 percent, -370 FTES).<o:p></o:p></p>
