[BLC] Question About Admissions Process

Hi all,

As part of our college discussions around increasing BAS program
enrollment, the idea to offer "guaranteed admissions" for our AAS-T
students came up. We aren't set on calling it that and we don't have clear
logistics/policy worked out yet either .... but we like the idea of having
a clear pathway for students to understand that they can spend a full four
years with us!

This seems to particularly spark interest for outreach to new, first-time
college students who might pick a BAS as an alternative to a general
pathway with transfer to a university (where they may not be accepted to
their preferred major). We want to offer them some type of assurance that
if they start with us they can stay with us.

My question is - do any of your schools have a process around this?
Anything that smooths the pathway for your internal feeder program
students? Extra points on their application? Early admissions if they meet
minimum qualifications? Etc.?

If so, what does the process look like for the student and for your college?

Thank you for your attention to this and I look forward to learning from
what y'all might already be doing!!

Thanks,
KDN
