</span><span style="color:black">I am pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 10<sup>th</sup> cohort of the Workforce Deans’ Academy. This 2018-2019 yearlong opportunity is sponsored by the Workforce Education Council and Center
of Excellence for Careers in Education, and focuses on both leadership and the practical skills necessary to lead in the complex world of workforce and professional/technical education.

</span><span style="color:black">The Deans’ Academy values diversity in our participants and in the future workforce. With that value, we are seeking a cohort of up to 18 participants that represent different leadership roles at our institutions, with priority
given to current workforce deans or directors new to their positions. The Academy meets regularly both in-person and online and begins with a required two-day summer retreat in the Sea Tac area, August 23-24, 2018. <b>Application packages are due by Friday,
May 18, 2018, and applicants will be notified of their status by Friday, June 8.</b> We are anticipating a higher number of applications than spaces available.</span><span style="color:#1F497D"><br>
