What I heard suggested a few years back at an all-day Accessing Higher Ground pre-conference session was to take the plain text file that will later be synched by YouTube and put the spaces in manually such as this before and after:</p>

and it has a scroll thingy on the right hand side to be able to see the rest of the captions which needs to be improved upon. Captioningkey has a number of recommendations for best practices.</p>

<span style="font-size:12.0pt; color:black">I have recorded an hour long Zoom meeting that included a live CART provider. The Audio Transcript file (VTT) that was available for download from my zoom cloud captured the CART captions with timestamps. However,
when I uploaded the VTT file to YouTube editor along with the video file, I found that the timestamps on the caption file were off by 4 or 5 seconds off of the video timestamps. I quickly discovered that trying to edit each individual timestamp using the YouTube
editor for an hour long video is quite laborious. Then, I used an online program that allowed me to strip the timestamps and formatting from the VTT file and upload it as a plain text file to YouTube. </span></p>
